Next Level Brioche Knitting - with Kate Atherley
Join us for an evening of increasing your confidence with Brioche knitting to include shaping with those tricky Brioche increases and decreases that make those columns move! This class is a great follow up to our Intro to Brioche Knitting and an ideal project to use a beautiful skein of hand-painted worsted weight yarn. You will need to already be familiar with the basics of Brioche for this class as well as K2tog, SSK, ribbing, casting on in the round on circular needles.
This class includes:
- One 3 hour session
- Kate's Opportunity Tilted Cowl Pattern
Skills Needed: Students need to already be comfortable working basic Brioche stitches, increases, decreases, as well as knitting in the round on circular needles.
- 4.50mm 16" circular needles (or long circular if you prefer magic loop)
- Stitch markers
- 50gm/100 yds each of two contrasting colours of yarn: one solid and one variegated is highly recommended. -- we are happy to suggest suitable yarns
Student receive a 10% discount on materials and tools for class projects. We recommend coming a bit early to choose your materials , in case any yarn needs to be wound...so we can start on time!
