Audrey is a cute vintage-inspired, cropped cardigan featuring a bib of Shetland lace. This cardi is knit seamlessly and worked bottom-up with set-in sleeves. The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches at the armhole and working short rows to shape the sleeve cap. This sweater will be a lovely addition to the wardrobe! Classic and pretty, with a few new skills to learn in the process to expand our knitterly technique repertoire.

As a point of interest : Unst is the northernmost of the Shetland Islands in Scotland; largely grassland, with coastal cliffs.

Finished Measurements: Bust, buttoned:
30.5 (32.5, 34.5, 36.5, 38.5, 40.5, 42.5, 44.5, 46.5, 48.5, 50.5 inches)
Intended to be worn with 0–1" of negative ease

Yardage:
750 (800, 850, 900, 950, 1000, 1050, 1100, 1150, 1200, 1250) yds sport/dk weight yarn

Needle Sizes: US 5 (3.75 mm,) US 4 (3.5 mm), US 3 (3.25 mm)

Gauge: 24 sts and 34 rows = 4" / 10cm in Stockinette st on size 4 US / 3.5 mm needles

Picking Up at the Purl Party ...

Picking up stitches that is!

We are a little more than 1/2 way to our July 1st contest deadline... so are you ready to work your sleeves yet?

Friday, June 7th 6-8pm...

We will hold a free picking up party for those of you who would like some guidance and supervision on the picking up of the armholes and starting the very clever sleeve cap! Bring your sweaters ready with at least on one side to pickup the armholes (this will mean working the back first if you are pressed for time) .... or even pop by to see the demo! We will also demonstrate the I-cord bind-off and any other things you are having issues with!

We can't wait to see the rainbow of sweaters!
